Ep 137: The One Where I Pressed Pause
Episode 138: The One Where I Pressed Pause
What happens when something you once loved starts to feel like just another thing on your to-do list? What if you're allowed to let it go, change your mind, and make space for something new?
In this episode, I'm sharing why I'm pressing pause on the podcast for a little while, what I'm learning about letting go of things that no longer fit, and how we can move into our next chapter with less regret and more trust.
Whether it's a project, a dream, a commitment, or an old version of yourself, sometimes the thing you wanted at one point in your life isn't what you want anymore. And that's okay.
We also talk about the identity shifts so many women experience in their 40s and beyond. Maybe you still want to feel strong, healthy, and good in your body, but you don't have the same drive to do more, accomplish more, and fill every minute of your day. Maybe you're craving more peace, calm, and simplicity.
I'll share one of my favorite journaling practices for connecting with what you truly want, using gratitude and scripting to imagine your desired life as though it's already happening. There's some fascinating psychology behind how this practice can influence what we notice, how we feel, and the choices we make.
Because creating a life you love doesn't always require another plan, another goal, or another thing to accomplish. Sometimes it starts with getting clear on how you want to feel, releasing what no longer serves you, and allowing yourself to take the next step when you're ready.
In this episode, we explore:
-
Giving yourself permission to pause, walk away, and change your mind
-
Releasing regret and the feeling that you should have done things differently
-
Why your priorities and desires might change in your 40s and beyond
-
Wanting to feel good in your body without making everything about the number on the scale
-
Using gratitude journaling and scripting to connect with the life you want
-
How our focus can influence the opportunities we notice and the choices we make
-
Letting yourself feel good before all your external circumstances have changed
-
Finding the simple habits that help you feel strong, grounded, and at home in your body
This is my last episode for a little while, but you can still find ways to work with me through my Lift Library workout membership, Within: A Return to Self, and my 1:1 intuitive coaching and mentorship.
Thank you for listening, for being here, and for allowing this podcast to be a place where we can explore what it means to trust ourselves a little more.
And remember, you're allowed to let go of what no longer feels right and make room for what comes next.
