Why every new beginning carries the wisdom of what came before

We call it “starting over,” but we never really start from scratch.

Every new chapter carries the wisdom of what came before lessons, growth, memories, muscle memory.

After 100 episodes of this podcast, in some ways it feels like I'm beginning again. Episode 101 marks a clean slate. I’m closing a door on one season of my work and opening another.

When beginnings feel heavy

We love the idea of fresh starts, but in real life they can feel complicated.
You can be excited and sad at the same time.
Hopeful and hesitant.

Sometimes it’s because the previous chapter never had a clean ending.
There was no moment to say, “I did my best and now I’m done.”

Your body still remembers the effort you gave, the late nights, the care, the heart you poured into it. Effort creates attachment. So even when your mind says it’s time to move on, your nervous system still looks for proof that it was worth it.

That’s why change can feel like standing at a new starting line while still glancing back. It’s not failure; it’s just unfinished energy asking for closure.

Give yourself closure before you chase motivation

Try writing a letter from your present self to your past self thank her for what she learned and what she carried you through.
Or from your past self to your present one, reminding you of all your dreams, intentions, and how far you've come.

Sometimes peace comes from saying,

“That part of me did her best. I’m grateful. And I’m ready for what’s next.”

Returning vs redefining

Starting again doesn’t always mean starting new.
You might return to what worked before, habits, routines, or practices that once made you feel good.

Or you might realize those things no longer fit, and it’s time to redefine what alignment looks like now.

Both are valid forms of growth.
Sometimes returning is your reset. Sometimes redefining feels more aligned.

The shift from fixing to frequency

In my own work, I’ve moved from trying to fix things for women to holding the frequency of what’s possible for them.

Because true transformation doesn’t come from control or pressure it comes from peace, presence, and trust.

When you lead yourself from that energy, results happen naturally. You stop chasing and start receiving.

A gentle invitation

If you’re in your own season of beginning again, whether that’s in health, motherhood, work, or identity remember you’re not starting over.
You're moving forward.
